I want to be healthy: Where To Start

We are in a state of emergency people! Ok, yes I know I can be a bit dramatic but what in the world is going on when we haven't even hit our prime and we are tired, sluggish, and unmotivated pretty much all of the time? 

I think the new term for this is  - washed.

So let me get this straight. You want me to believe that after college, and I'll be generous here and say age 25, that you are now on your
decline? That it is normal to start your day with no energy or near impossible to get through your day without needing a trash energy drink?? The devil is a lie! 

We have options. Many, many options and living less than our best ain't one of them. But don't worry, information changes situations, so I got you.

The fact that you're reading this let's me KNOW you're ready to dismiss the status quo and make a shift.



HEALTH: WHERE TO START?

Before you know where to start, you have to know where you are.

In regard to health, I believe we would both agree that our biggest health concerns usually fall in one of two categories - Food, what we're eating & Fitness, our physical activity, or lack thereof.

Now let's keep it real and see which one of these statements best apply to you?

Food

  • I don't want to stop eating anything I like? 
  • I just want to eat better?
  • I want to try this vegan thing?

Fitness

  • I might need to but I don't want to work out?
  • I do want to start exercise, a little?
  • I want a fit body?

HEALTH: FIRST STEPS

It really doesn't matter which one of these statements apply to you, you've acknowledged where you are and now have a reference point to start from.

Now that we are clear on where you are let's focus on where you want to be. The initial statement that brought you here was "I want to feel better."

At the end of the day, no matter how different we may think we are, we all want to feel well. We want to be healthy and to live a long life full of energy and excitement the same way we did as children.

Regardless of where you are, I believe breaking things down in sets of three allows us to set realistic, obtainable goals without feeling overwhelmed. So let's explore 3 immediate things you can do to start shifting the way you feel on a day-to-day basis.

FOOD: START HERE


I don't want to stop eating anything I like? 

I just want to eat better?

I want to go vegan?


FITNESS: START HERE

I don't want to workout?

I want to start exercising?

I'm ready for a fit body?
